HOW MY ADVENTURE ATTITUDE BEGAN

The Adventure Attitude

As a TCK, travel was my childhood constant. I quickly learned that navigating a foreign culture can quickly become overwhelming and even scary if you don't approach it with a posture of learning and adapting. To say it plainly, I am not a very adaptable person, and yet I have chosen to continue my TCK roots as an adult abroad. I have learned to adapt and how to make somewhere very foreign feel like home. My college professor shared with me the quote that frames it best: "The difference between an ordeal and an adventure is your attitude." And so I am choosing The Adventure Attitude, and I hope you will too.
